Hi
Leslie,
Enclosed are several pictures of Steve and "Sheza Hemi". Hemi is
very much a family dog.
Hemi is also a tremendous pheasant hunter. I swear she can pick a
scent a hundred yards out! We do our hunting at Woods and Meadow
Hunting Preserve located between Warrens and Milston. We have hunted
her eight times and she has flushed 48 birds. That is 15 more than we
booked for. We have yet to lose a bird that we shot and she is getting
pretty good with her retrieves. You should see her run down the wing
shot bird! When we get near the hunting area she starts to cry and
shake. She is so birdy. Afterwards she sleeps all the way home.
Thanks for allowing us to own such a special dog!!!
Pat

Hi Leslie,
Quick note to share with you a picture of Cody (aka Harley from the January
2009 litter). Cody is a
smart, playful Golden that is as gentle and loyal as the day is long.
He loves activity and romping in the woods.
A perfect fit for our family.
Thought you would enjoy seeing how he has grown!
Take care

Hi Leslie,
Thought I'd send you a few pictures and an update on
Sadie now that she's almost six months old.
She's a great dog and a fast learner. She loves to
chase after butterflies, our cat and her tennis ball. She was good at
retrieving her tennis ball from very early and brings it right back to us
for another go round. She especially loves going after it in the tall
grass in the field behind out place - she pounces like a tiger and makes me
laugh every time. She's about 45 lbs. right now and doesn't look like
she's going to get a whole lot bigger.
You were correct when you said you thought she would
not need harsh discipline - she usually listens very well and no yelling is
necessary. She isn't really submissive though either, just a really
good balance. Overall, just a very nice girl and a pleasure to live
with.
We are starting obedience classes next week at Rude
Dog, so we'll see how that goes. The most important thing I hope to
teach her is to come when called - always, even if it looks like something
fun to chase is on the other side of the yard.
Hope all is well with you and your dogs. Thanks
again for matching her up with us.
Jamie
