SHR Captain Samuel to the Max JH (Sam)

Sam has the classical Golden Retriever look.
He has a deep golden coat with moderate furnishing. His coat
is soft but is designed for the field and he repels many stickers
and burdocks in the field. Sam has a soft mouth and a strong
hunt drive. He is a pleasure to hunt behind. In addition
to being an excellent hunting partner he is a calm, affectionate,
and easy going house dog.
Sam comes from working parents and his
pedigree boast 2 Field Champions, 3 Master Hunters, and 2 Junior
Hunters titles. Sam has earned his AKC Junior Hunter title,
his HRC Started Dog title, his Canine Good Citizen Certificate, and
has his Therapy Dog Certificate also. He has worked in a St
Paul High School and the local nursing home.
Sam loves to
continues hunt training and has a great nose for birds.

When training or at
Hunt Tests, Mae has a cannon of a launch off of the line and an
incredibly straight line out to the mark. Her drive and
determination make her a fantastic working retriever.
Mae has clearances
for her Hips, Elbows, Heart, and eyes. In addition, she is
normal for the PRA-pcrd marker and has a normal thyroid panel.

Topbrass Diamonds Rubies and Pearls (Ruby)
Ruby joined us in the summer of 2008 from
Topbrass kennel. She has an impressive pedigree and simply
cannot train enough. She has the most "can do" attitude that
we could ever hope for. Ruby delights in picking up and
retrieving anything that is not nailed down. In the house she
is easy going and almost sleepy, but is all retriever when we pull
out the bumpers or the ducks.

Ruby is an unusual ability to
defy gravity. She is the only Golden I have known to be able
to jump 5 feet straight into the air from a stand still. It
seems like she must have a gazelle in her pedigree but I have double
checked and she does not.
We will begin her formal competition career in
the Spring of 2010. Below are some puppy pictures of Ruby.
Look for updated training pictures when it warms up enough to train.

Maple Hills Guns N Roses (Rose)
Rose is our pick from the Sam and Mae 2009
litter. She is everything we could have hoped for with this
breeding. She is maturing into the best of both her parents. Rose shows the thinking
qualities of her Sire, Sam, along with his grit while working.
There is no "give up" in this dog. From her Dam, Mae, she
received her drive and pin point marking. Rose flew thru the double T
and has already been introduced to the swim by. She earned 2
legs of her JH title on her first attempt at only 9 months old. Look for her at
Hunt Tests in the Spring of 2010.

Maple Hills Max A Moose (Moose)
Moose is a wonderful boy from the Sam and Mae
2009 litter. He lives with our son his family but
remains a part of our program. Moose will continue training
with the crew and expect to see him at a few Hunt Tests along with
Rose in the Spring of 2010. Moose has an easy going
personality. He is a happy go lucky Golden and extremely
tolerant of my 5 year old grandson.
